1. WEEKLY INSPIRATION: JACQUES TARDI

I decided to start a series of posts dedicated to artists that keep me motivated and inspired each week. Lately I’ve been looking at the French comic book artists Jacques Tardi (often credited as simply Tardi). Known for his fantastic World War I graphics novels, I was introduced to his work through his award winning classic It Was The War Of The Trenches. His line work is absolutely spectacular and his simple use of color is really something I’m trying to adopt in my own illustration work. To see more of his work, click here. enjoy!
